The parent of a student who has cerebral palsy, Ms. Jarrow was also Executive Director of the Association of Higher Education and Disability in the 1990's. Having spent years working with professionals in the field of postsecondary education, she recently sent her daughter off to college. From her perspective as a professional and a mother, she offers advice and information for concerned parents who are facing their student's transition to college.

Recordings for the Blind and Dyslexic offer books in alternative formats for students with print disabilities that can be used on computers, MP3 players, or special players available through the organization. Students can get their own free membership, and they have an option to purchase special players through RFB&D that make searching through books very easy.
